Anthony Geffen

CEO and Creative Director

Anthony Geffen is CEO of Atlantic Productions and is one of the world’s leading documentary film makers and a pioneer in immersive storytelling. He’s won over 50 international awards including 4 British Academy Awards (BAFTAs) and 9 American Emmys.

He was described by WIRED magazine as being “behind some of the most exciting advancements in VR, AR and AI storytelling”. He oversees four companies which are part of the Atlantic group – this includes Alchemy, one of the fastest growing immersive companies covering education, health and entertainment. Recent immersive collaborations include Google, Apple, Meta, NASA and Harvard Medical School. He won the first British Academy Award (BAFTA) for virtual reality storytelling.

He also oversees the production company Atlantic Productions, ZOO a special effects company and Colossus a theatrical company.

His films have been seen by over a billion people. 13 projects with David Attenborough including the ‘Great Barrier Reef’, ‘Rise of Animals: Triumph of the Vertebrates’, ‘David Attenborough meets President Obama’ and ‘Natural History Museum Alive 3D’. Other documentaries include ‘Belsen: Our Story’, ‘Jerusalem: City of Heaven’, ‘The Promised Land’, ‘Inside the Commons’ and ‘The Coronation’ with Queen Elizabeth II. Theatrical films include ‘The Wildest Dream: Conquest of Everest’ and ‘Hawking, Can You Hear Me?’. He has been part of expeditions which have journeyed to the top of the world, Mount Everest and to the deepest point of the world’s oceans, the Mariana Trench.

He has spoken at forums across the world including TEDX, Google Zeitgeist, Facebook Hack the Future and the Apple Developer Conference. He worked at the BBC for 10 years as a Director, Producer and Executive Producer on several highly acclaimed award winning films and series.

He is a fellow at St Cross College, Oxford University.

Elliot Graves

Creative and Technical Lead

Elliot leads Alchemy’s Immersive and Digital productions focused on story-telling and quality. As an immersive experience Director, he works across all XR technologies including augmented reality, virtual reality and AI empowered experiences.

He came to Atlantic with significant experience in the XR industry producing and directing award-winning branded experiences within the agency space. This includes delivering top AR, VR and AI enhanced projects for Nike, Google, Ford, UNICEF, O2 and UEFA. Beyond his creative work, Elliot has developed capture and post-production pipelines for immersive content, including bespoke camera solutions, VFX workflows and photo/videogrammetry systems. He has worked alongside hardware and software development including Adobe, Nokia OZO and Foundry toolsets.

Elliot started his career in factual exploration production, working with The Royal Geographical Society, the United Nations and the BBC across a range of different initiatives.

Iona McEwan

Creative

Iona assists Alchemy’s projects across the creative and production.

Iona first joined Atlantic as a technical assistant across IT and Alchemy where she worked on bug testing and fixing as well as running demonstrations. Her broad range of technical and creative skills allow her to contribute across fields.

Previously Iona worked as a camera operator and a videographer for companies such as the Edinburgh International Festival and Pleasance Theatre Trust. She also worked as a freelance graphic designer.

Bhaumik Patel

Digital Supervisor

Bhaumik has extensive experience within the 3D industry in various roles that include the Oscar winning feature film Gravity, Bafta winning high-end TV series Natural History Museum Alive 3D and large multi-screen museum installations in 6K.

Bhaumik primarily works with Maya, but has branched into the interactive industry – creating a variety of VR and AR experiences using Unity and Unreal drawing on experience gained while working on 3 published games.

Emily Smith

Museums Partnership Advisor

Emily Smith leads the companies’ museum and cultural sector relationships.

Prior to joining Atlantic Emily worked for London’s Natural History Museum where she worked as Head of Communications leading on the PR and marketing strategies on key launches including the opening of the Darwin Centre in 2010, the record breaking exhibition Animal Inside Out and Atlantic Productions’ 3D documentary Natural History Museum Alive 3D. She then moved onto Head of Audience Development where she led the programming of temporary exhibitions, events, digital strategy and marketing. In this role she oversaw the implementation of the virtual reality experiences David Attenborough’s First Life VR and David Attenborough’s Great Barrier Reef Dive VR into the public programme and the launch of the new museum website and CRM system.

Emily spent over 20 years in the cultural sector working in marketing and communications roles for some of London’s leading cultural organisations including the Royal Court Theatre, London Philharmonic Orchestra and National Gallery.

Raya Racheva

Company Accountant

Raya has been with Alchemy since it started in 2014. Since then her role has developed and expanded as the company has grown. Raya has helped to create the financial systems and procedures within Alchemy and the wider Atlantic group.

Raya oversees the team of finance assistants and is responsible for the financial reporting for the Atlantic Group and Alchemy. She prepares the management accounts; management/administration of the financial systems; monthly payroll and the year end audit process.

Before Atlantic Raya worked at Princess Productions as an assistant accountant, which was her first job after graduating from Kingston University with an Accounting and Finance degree. Prior to this she studied an International Baccalaureate at St. Andrew’s College in Dublin. Raya is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
